The Power of Children

The third and fourth grades each visited the Cheshire Children’s Museum in Keene, New Hampshire to view a visiting exhibit called “The Power of Children.” This exhibit focuses on the stories of Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges, and Ryan White and how they used the power of words, voice, and action to make a positive difference in our world. Through audio-visual presentations, original artifacts, hands-on interactive displays and live actors, our children learned the stories of these remarkable children and came away with a deeper understanding of the difference one person, even a young person, can make in the world. This exhibit connects with the message of kindness and goodwill in the book Pay It Forward, which both grades are reading in class.

Mr. Young was able to travel with the third graders to the museum, and he took these beautiful pictures of the students exploring the museum and interacting with the exhibits. Take a look!
