Guest Readers at Morning Meeting

It’s a beloved Bement tradition to share picture books at our morning meetings. This past Monday, we had two special guest readers in eighth graders Clarese Gardiner and Kelci Lewandowski, lower school alumnae who shared original picture books they had created in the fall during their computer arts class. The girls adapted one of Aesop’s fables, “The Wolf and the Heron,” and used cut-paper collage and digital media to illustrate their text. The results were beautiful, and the lower schoolers enjoyed hearing these original stories!
